Load Management Electronics
Modern telehandlers enforce load charts electronically (longitudinal stability control). The components — load moment sensors on the rear axle, angle/extension sensors, and the control unit — stop the machine legally and literally when they fail. Saudi dust and heat harden this failure mode; stock the model-specific sensors for fleets of five or more, and calibrate after replacement per the maker's procedure.
Tires Carry Everything
A telehandler at full reach lives on its front tires' integrity: keep matched pairs by axle (mixed wear changes the stability math), run correct pressures like it is a safety item — because it is — and choose foam-fill for scrap and demolition duty where a front blowout under load is intolerable.
Axles, Brakes, and the Drivetrain
Four-wheel steer axles add kingpins, tie rods, and steering cylinders at both ends. Wet brakes follow the oil-spec discipline of backhoes; hydrostatic or torque-converter drivelines follow their own service kits. The frame-leveling (sway) cylinder and its pins wear like a stabilizer and deserve the same inspection.
Attachments and the Coupler
Forks and carriages (fork heel wear rules apply exactly as with forklifts), buckets, jibs, winches, and man-platforms all hang from a quick coupler whose pins, wedges, and locking indicators are safety items. Man-platform interlocks and their harness anchor points face the strictest inspection expectations on site — keep their switches and pins genuine and documented.
